Edit Install

POST /installs/{id}

Edit an install's meta data.

API endpoint.

{id} is the internal ID of the install to edit.

Optional field parameters (examples only)

This is a list of example fields that you might see used by an application installer; each installer has its own list of fields. To retrieve the full list of fields for a specific (version of an) application use GET /browser/{id} API.

The language of the application to install. For example,

for English or
zh_tw
for Chinese Traditional.

Use the /api/ip/browser/view to retrieve a list of available languages for the application.

The "site title" for the installed application. This title is only shown in Installatron.

Special parameters

dryrun
enum
Perform a test run of this API call: run the tests, check connections to the database server and remote locations, but don't actually perform this task itself. This is just a test-run to make sure that when it is run for real that there is nothing to stop it from working.

    = No dry run.

    = Check all input values and test all connections.
  • input
    = Check only the input values.

An installed application already exists in this location. Installatron will not install a new app into a location that (it believes) contains an application.
invalid_argument_url_missing_config
Installatron cannot find (or read) the application's main config file.
invalid_argument_url_not_same_directory
The new domain does not have the same path as the original domain's path. More specifically, you can only edit the application's location to a domain with the same docroot as the original domain.

If the application being edited has been manually moved to a completely different folder then you must:
  1. Detach Installatron from the application (WARNING: DO NOT uninstall the application, you must detach Installatron from the application).
  2. Now you can Import the application back into Installatron from its new URL.
  3. You will need to set up auto-updates and auto-backups again if you had been using them.
invalid_argument_url_unknown
The selected protocol+domain (eg. https://mydomain.com) is not associated with this user's webhosting account. More specifically, it's not found in the user's vhosts list.
