What's New in PmWiki 2.5.5
- Updates for recent PHP versions.
- New markup !!#id Heading allows defining ID attributes for headings or page sections, enabling direct linking and section inclusion similar to [[#anchor]]; users upgrading to 2.5.5 should search for "!#" and insert a space before # if needed.
- Improvements to Forms features, including pre-filled change summaries for minor edits with $EnableMergeLastMinorEdit, support for custom attributes on select options, and availability of the Not-Saved-Warning feature for custom forms using (:input form data-confirmunload=1:).
- Improvements to core JavaScript utilities and the PmLib library, including optimizations for PmSyntax on long or complex texts, left-positioned arrows for right-aligned sortable table headers, Shift+click support for selecting multiple checkboxes, and enhancements to the table of contents display.
- Removal of duplicate core styles from scripts now that they are defined in pub/lib/pmwiki-core.css, simplifying skin and local style overrides and advancing toward stricter Content-Security-Policy support.
- Slightly darker backgrounds for simpletable tables in the dark theme.
- New markup (:dropzone uploadpage=Group.Name:) that provides a drag-and-drop file upload area without opening the page for editing, with support for multiple upload zones per page.
- Enhanced URL approvals with a confirmation page that previews pending sites and links, allows selective approval via checkboxes, and highlights pending links within the full page view.
- Bug fixes for Notify with the tz= attribute affecting later recipients and for RecipeCheck when remote retrieval is disabled by the host.
- The documentation was updated.
