webtrees version 1.5.0 is now available (major release).

Upgrading to webtrees 1.5.0

webtrees 1.5.0 can be upgraded to (or installed) using any of Installatron's products. Use Installatron's optional Automatic Update feature to automatically apply webtrees updates as new versions are released, or use Installatron's Clone feature to duplicate an existing webtrees install to test the 1.5.0 upgrade prior to applying it live. What's New in webtrees 1.5.0

webtrees now operates on facts/events (level 1 GEDCOM data) rather than records (level 0 GEDCOM data). This change will allow us to implement features such as shared events (e.g. the same census record linked to each member of the household), and allow us to link dates/places to events for efficient querying. Additionally, the release includes:

Better handling of pending changes - see more details, see them in lists, etc.
Performance increase - webtrees runs faster and uses less memory.
A new "raw GEDCOM" editor - re-order events using drag-and-drop and edit just the GEDCOM for a single fact or event.
Updated FAB theme - a cleaner and more modern appearance.
Masquerade feature - allows an administrator to log in as any other user, to test privacy rules and account settings.
Lots of bug fixes.
