New and unique web applications are evaluated regularly for inclusion into Installatron. However, applications that are complicated to use and applications that do not offer unique functionality complicate the website owner experience and are avoided.

The applications provided by Installatron are regularly updated as new versions are released. Priority is given to critical security releases and the most popular applications. Updates are tested and made available within minutes to hours of release, depending on the amount of testing required by the update.

When branding and theming can't provide the desired level of customization, the Installatron Server APIs can be implemented into an existing user-inteface, completely losing any trace that the system is powered by Installatron Server. Centralizable and Scalable.

Instead of installing Installatron Server on each web hosting server individually, Installatron Server can be installed on one or more centralized control panel servers, significantly simplifying the deployment.

FTP, FTPS, and NFS are supported

When installed centrally, a transparent FTP, FTPS and/or NFS layer is utilized to communicate with remote web hosting accounts. All tasks, including backup and restore tasks, are then executed on the remote web hosting server. The end result is a properly scalable application automation solution.

No FTP passwords necessary (GUI only)

It's possible to omit FTP/FTPS usernames and/or passwords when transferring a user into the Installatron Server GUI. Instead, the user will be prompted within the Installatron Server GUI for a FTP password if it's ever required.

Comprehensive administrative tools.

The Installatron Server administrative GUI has many advanced and comprehensive administrative controls that make managing a server with Installatron Server a breeze.

White-label re-branding options

The Instalatron Server user-interface can be integrated with a company brand and/or website theme by modifying its header/footer and CSS. The Installatron name can also be changed, email templates can be modified, and just about any text displayed throughout the user-interface can be changed.

Access control

Access control features enable administrators and resellers to precisely control which applications are available to specific website owners and web hosting packages.

Full reseller control panel

If Installatron Server is configured to have "reseller" type users, the reseller administration tool enables resellers to re-configure the majority of the Installatron's settings for their users, include rebranding, installed application upgrading, Message of the Day, email settings, and access control. The server administrator can optionally disable any of these settings for resellers.

Force upgrade out-of-date installed applications

Installatron's Installed Applications tool enables administrators to forcibly upgrade any installed applications, without the need to log in as the user. Resellers are also able to upgrade the installed applications of their users.

Installatron Server is designed to be easily extended with additional applications, modifications to existing applications, a full suite of automation APIs, and more.

Open application packaging format

Installatron's open application packaging format enables anyone with minimal programming knowledge to create application packages, for any web application. There's even an online Application Package Editor to simplify the task further!
