osTicket version 1.7.2 is now available.Upgrading to osTicket 1.7.2
osTicket 1.7.2 can be upgraded to (or installed) using any of Installatron's products. Use Installatron's optional Automatic Update feature to automatically apply osTicket updates as new versions are released, or use Installatron's Clone feature to duplicate an existing osTicket install to test the 1.7.2 upgrade prior to applying it live. The most exciting feature in this release is a significant enhancement to the processing of email concerning matching them to the ticket thread. Previously, the email was connected by the external ticket number in the subject line, formatted specially such as [#123456]. With 1.7.2, the email subject no longer needs to contain brackets, a hash sign, or the ticket number. The references and in-reply-to headers are utilized to match the emails rather than the subject line. However, matching on the external ticket number is still supported as a fallback in the event you have some really old, non-compliant client email software in use.
