Installatron Integration API

The Installatron Integration API is capable of incorporating Installatron into any hosting control panel or user interface. Both "licensable" and "in-house" control panels are suitable for integration.

What is Integrated?

The same fully-brandable Installatron user interface and Install Engine that is used in the Installatron Plugin is incorporated seamlessly into the control panel. Users of the control panel will have access to the Installatron systems natively, just as they have access to domain and email management tools. If the branding features are utilized Installatron can appear an integral part of the control panel, rather than an addon.

How is the Integration Performed?

A small set of methods are implemented to enable communication between Installatron and the control panel. Integration generally takes a few days.

The Installatron Integration API Documentation describes the integration procedure in full. The Installatron Free-Edition and/or free development licenses are available as needed.

Why Integrate Installatron?

Installatron is a highly developed, well maintained, multi-platform auto-installer system with five years of testing and improvements as its foundation. Incorporating Installatron bypasses expensive development costs and gives the control panel end-users access to the best web application installer on the market.

Licensable Control Panel

A Licensable Control Panel is a control panel that is packaged/distributed by a control panel vendor, and licensed by hosting providers.

Depending on the control panel architecture, several Installatron licensing models are available. Some examples:

The control panel vendor licenses Installatron for any or all licensees, subsidizing the cost in full or part.
The control panel vendor pays nothing; hosting providers license Installatron from the Installatron website.

When the Installatron Integration API is complete and the licensing finalized, we can optionally include the control panel in the "supported panels" list on the Installatron website.

In-house Control Panel

An In-house Control Panel is a control panel developed internally by a web hosting provider for exclusive ("in-house") use by their hosting service.

Pay only for what you use. The licensing and support cost for in-house control panels is based on domains used¹ with a minimum monthly fee. Per-server licensing is not available for in-house control panels.

A "product key" will be issued which can be utilized on any or all servers using the control panel, and because it is licensed per-domain-used it does not not need to discriminate between Dedicate, Virtual or Grid servers.

A one-time fee of $300 is required for integration support. This fee is non-refundable, however it will be credited, in full, to the Installatron licensing costs once integration is complete (the $300 will fully cover the first four months if only the minimum licensing fee is reached for those months).

¹ A domain is considered "used" for a month only if it owns one or more existing Installatron installed applications during the month. The per-domain fee comes into affect only if the minimum monthly fee is exceeded.
