osTicket version 1.7.1 is now available (security release).

Upgrading to osTicket 1.7.1

osTicket 1.7.1 can be upgraded to (or installed) using any of Installatron's products. Use Installatron's optional Automatic Update feature to automatically apply osTicket updates as new versions are released, or use Installatron's Clone feature to duplicate an existing osTicket install to test the 1.7.1 upgrade prior to applying it live. What's New in osTicket 1.7.1

The release fixes bugs and addresses security related issues reported in earlier versions of osTicket, and also introduces a variety of new features and enhancements.

The most notable additions include:

SVA-2013-826: osTicket prior to v1.7.1 fails to require and properly encrypt mail account passwords. This could potentially allow a third-party, with access to the database, to possibly decrypt stored passwords.
Custom logos and site pages
Password reset link
Export and import feature. Useful for migrations and backups.
Use your email address as your username for logins
SLA's can be marked transient. Tickets with a transient SLA will change to the SLA of the new department or help-topic when transferred or edited.
Support installation on MySQL and MariaDB clusters. Use default storage engine and don't assume predictable auto-increment values.
