Installatron Adds Clef Two-Factor Authentication for WordPress
Carlisle PA, 13 November 2014
Installatron, the leading provider of web application installation and management products, announced today that it has implemented Clef two-factor authentication for WordPress. Installatron's integration enables hosting providers to enhance security by installing Clef automatically with every new WordPress installation.
Clef is a mobile app that replaces usernames and passwords, enabling users to log in easily with their smartphones. The Clef WordPress plugin is growing rapidly in popularity, with over 130,000 downloads.
"We are happy to add Clef support," said Phillip Stier, co-founder of Installatron. "Two-factor authentication is essential now, and Clef’s solution is the most elegant available."
"Making two-factor accessible around the web is a critical step in securing our lives online," said Brennen Byrne, CEO at Clef. "Protecting new users by default, instead of requiring research and expertise, is how we will build a safer Internet. Installatron has been a leader in providing secure infrastructure for their huge customer base and we're excited to be a big part of it."
Since April, 2004, Installatron has pioneered a variety of web application automation products to satisfy demand from web hosting companies, other businesses, and website owners worldwide. Its industry-leading product lineup includes the original Installatron Plugin, plus Installatron Server and Installatron Remote.
