Magento updates: auto clearing of indexes and cache

Post by jas8522 » Sat Oct 29, 2016 8:38 am

After the last couple magento updates, everything seems to go smoothly in terms of file updates and DB updates, but the caches aren't cleared, leaving sites down because their static files are trying to reference non-existent database tables. It would be great if Installatron could run these after an upgrade for us:

{magento_root}/shell/indexer.php --reindexall
{magento_root}/mage clear-cache
rm -rf {magento_root}/var/cache/*

This issue has come up again with 2.2.x releases of Magento where updating works great, but then breaks the front-end of the site until caches can be cleared. It's a rather essential part of the process!

With 2.2 the necessary command to run post-update is:

Code: Select all

php {path_to_magento_root}/bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
Any chance of getting this added post-update for Magento 2.2?
