Hi there ....

just wondering .... are you considering vTiger for inclusion into Installatron?
it is the a true opensource CRM package (and is gaining momentum over SugarCRM)

Hi,

It's not something we're considering at this time, but I'll add it to the recommended scripts list.

Just my opinion, I tried vTiger about a year ago, and ended up coming back to SugarCRM. I had many problems with vTiger (even though it's a fork of Sugar).

I liked some things about vTiger better, but the reliability issues and some e-mail problems sent me back to Sugar, and I haven't regretted it.

They may have not been ready to take on SugarCRM a year ago, but they've come a long way.
it is not only the featureset which is important, also the way of doing business, as well as upholding the spirit of open source, is important to me. And that is where SurgarCRM fails completely.

That's a valid point too. I've heard quite a few people saying that SugarCRM doesn't follow the spirit of Open Source, but all I know is that their free version works fine for me. But I respect these complaints too.

It's good to hear that vTiger has come a long way. I actually liked a lot of what I saw there.
