SugarCRM displays a GPL license message

Postby glewis » Sat Sep 13, 2008 3:13 pm

Hi. I just installed SugarCRM, and after logging into it, it displays a message:

This copy of the SugarCRM customer relationship management program appears to have legal notices or author attributions modified or removed in violation of the GNU General Public License version 3. Please contact SugarCRM Inc. to Correct....

-- this message is on a 5 second timer.

Also, SugarCRM displays the following at the bottom of every page:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_strtolower() in /home/*my username here*/public_html/sugarcrm/include/MVC/View/SugarView.php

Anyway, is there any way to stop this? Thanks!

Ok, fixed the function mb_strtolower error by changing it to function strtolower. Looks like some kind of PHP version/Sugar bug.

ok... fixed the gpl nastygram too. Remove the line at the bottom of /home/*username*/www/sugarcrm/include/utils/mvc_utils that says:
$msi0="len";$msi="code";$msi1="A937A1287ABB384FB123EB9D56EBBB4CaWYoIWNsYXNzX2V4aXN0cygnVHJhY2tlCAF039C2FE08CF42AC697900D5DC708CA937A1287ABB384FB123EB9D56E

or just comment it out...

Wow. I've answered both my own questions. I should've done my own homework before posting. Oh well, at least someone else might benefit..
