Installatron no installing Magento updates and crashing server

Postby Jimnibob » Thu Nov 12, 2015 2:41 am

Hi,

I am having difficulty using Installatron to run Magento version updates as my web host says the Installatron script it runs is overloading and crashing the server. They are suggestion I avoid using Installatron and install updates manually.

The kind of error messages I am getting are;

    mySQL server status failed
    spamd serve status failed
    mySQL out of memory

Can anyone suggest a solution to this in order to prevent Installatron overloading the server so I can continue to use it?

Thanks

Greetings,

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble.

To clarify, an Installation-owned process is using excessive memory when it attempts to update Magento, which causes other processes to run out of memory?

Do you have shell access to execute a few commands to give us better insight into the problem?

Best regards,
Josh
