Is this allowed and possible to remove "Installed by Installatron" from the Magento footer?

Hello,

Yes, this can be removed. You can find more on this here:

Just make sure to backup index.php before making any modifications.

Thank you,
Phil.

Sorry but I must ask again...

The answer in your link...

Code: Select all

To remove the SEO stamp from Magento, open index.php and cart.php from the installation directory and remove the first line of code, between the <?php and ?> tags. We strongly recommend backing up these files before making any modifications.

If there are any questions let us know.

Thank you,
Phil.
which cart.php file do you mean? I use magento 1.5.x, so I removed the first line from the index.php, now it look like this

Code: Select all

<?php

it gave no result, but I don´t know which cart.php you mean.

Hello,

Magento 1.5.x only requires index.php to be modified.

The content you quoted appears to be modified correctly. If it's still showing the link, either the page is cached or there is possibly another index.php.

If issues persist, feel free to open a ticket and provide us control panel or FTP login details. We'll research this further and discover why the changes made aren't affecting the link.

Thank you,
Phil.
