Share your Installers

Postby Tech-Hosts » Sun Sep 21, 2008 2:26 pm

Hello,

I think this would be a good idea to allow people to share installers that they have created. For example, if you create an installer for e107, people can pop into this thread (or maybe even stickie!) and see if there is one already that has been contributed by another user.

It will also be useful to people who are trying to get the hang of the Installer Editor and creating installers as it will give many examples of how it's done.

So, if you've created an installer in the past, login to your editor and copy and paste the code in so that other people can share your creation :)

I've created a WikkaWiki installation.

It automatically enters database info and some other details into the external installation page, and handles setting the RewriteBase in the .htaccess file, which some installations require.

Let me know if any changes should be made to make this better.

Note: Site's been down for a couple of days; this has been resolved. Sorry.
