Hi,

I updated the text in the FAQ, but basically:

Code: Select all

ln -s /var/installatron/archives /home/admin/yourdomain.com/public_html/installatron_pam

(one line)

Where that path is a path to any public location on your server.

That path would then correspond to this URL:

http://yourdomain.com/installatron_pam

Which is what you enter into the PAM setting in Installatron, for the other servers. They will then start using this server as their primary mirror.

Hello How can I test that it is working? If I try to access http://yourdomain.com/installatron_pam in my browser I get a 403 Forbidden message, is that as it should be?

If your browser can't read that URL then it won't work as a PAM.

(you did change the path so that it's right for your server?)

You might have a .htaccess or something that blocks that directory. But it does need to be a public location.

OK I have got this PAM thing to work now, not from my mail domain but at least it works. I did see anothet problem though. When I upgraded Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 1.5.1 all files an folders touched in the upgrade process got the wrong UID and GID. Instead of user:user it is now 1010:1010 which can't be right.

Usually if you see numbers if means a user has been removed or changed.

That might be one for a ticket: https://secure.liquenox.com/tickets

Hello, no the user has not been removed or changed because the user is actually mine. :)
I will wait for a while and see if the problem show itself on some other account when Joomla 1.5 is upgraded to 1.5.1.
