Application Listing - how to link to app's page

Postby darkroast » Wed Aug 29, 2012 5:07 pm

I'm just starting to explore Installatron, and I've used the List Builder to create a list of applications. However, the app's links don't seem to be getting formatted correctly.

For instance, when I'm looking at the list here at http://installatron.com/apps, and click on PHPBB, it brings up the page with the details about the application (http://installatron.com/apps#cmd=browser&display=phpbb)

However, when I click the PHPBB link on my own site, it goes to https://darkroasthosting.com/index.php?phpbb which isn't right (of course).

I think it has something to do with the

Code: Select all

define("LB_URL", "?");
statement in the script, but I'm not sure how to fix it.

I should say that I'm generating this as a content item in a Joomla installation.

Greetings,

The ?appname URL format is actually correct for the default code. A page containing additional app details should be displayed at that URL. The provided default code is open source so that modifications like this can easily be incorporated.

If there are any questions let me know.

Best regards,
Josh

I think I see how it's supposed to work, but I'm not sure how to get it working correctly.

I also should have mentioned that I'm running this on a cPanel server. https://www.darkroasthosting.com is my primary domain name, but my server's hostname is atlanta.darkroasthosting.com

What's happening is that it's using index.php?appname - but Joomla assumes that index.php is the Joomla main script, so it's looking for the /app directory underneath that - which it isn't there.

Just thinking... I set the LB_PATH variable to the path to the path for the site itself - i.e., /home/directory/public_html - should that be the path to the actual Installatron installation? If so, where does it get installed (I couldn't find it with a quick look).

I do have a temporary test user set up with SuperAdmin rights so you can take a look and see what I'm doing wrong...

Hello,

LB_PATH should not be modified. However, it looks like you may be able to solve this by modifying LB_URL to (where installatron.php is the filename you renamed list.php to):

Code: Select all

define("LB_URL", "installatron.php?");

Thank you,
