domains not in list; installing on www. doesn't work

Postby bloemendal » Tue May 11, 2010 1:41 pm

L.s.,

Have trouble installing wordpress into a domain owned by an admin on DirectAdmin.

While installing worpress into a domain, the list of domains for the user is empty and installing is only possible for www. (which results into an error obviously as this is not a domain).

What might have coused this list to be empty? And how to fix?

- Installation on DirectAdmin (Centos) and latest up2date installatron (6.0.10).
- user is an admin account, containing several domains
- non admin accounts work fine (list of possible domains available).
- account already has several installations, used to work well until one domain and installation were moved to another account.
- list of installed applications contains all previous installations, sites and applications installed work without any issue.

Hope someone can help.

Cheers!

Alex

Hello,

Please open a ticket with the output of these commands included in the ticket:

Code: Select all

ls -al /home/ADMIN/domains
cat /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/ADMIN/domains.list

Thanks,
Phil.

Good to see that I am not the only one. I submitted a ticket 2 days ago and I am still waiting on a response. I have now posted the output in the ticket.

For me the problem existed because there was more than one administrator. When domains are added to another administrator Installatron defaults to looking for domains under admin instead of the other administrator username. I had to downgrade the administrators to either users or resellers.

This is on a DirectAdmin server. I changed the value of usertype in the user.conf file to either reseller or user and everything worked.

Hello,

Just an update for anyone else experiencing this:

We deployed a new edge build of Installatron yesterday that adds a workaround. To update:

Code: Select all

/usr/local/installatron/repair -f --edge

If there are any questions just reply here or open a ticket.

Cheers,
Phil.
