Installatron 5.1 released, and Magento eCommerce added

Postby Rowan » Thu Nov 06, 2008 10:14 pm

Magento eCommerce has been added to Installatron. Magento is a newcomer in the ecommerce/shopping cart category, yet is already proving massively popular. It has been the most-requested script, in nearly 5 years of Installatron, and we think you'll like it.

For more information, visit Magento's website: http://www.magentocommerce.com/

Installatron 5.1 was released recently.

This saw the inclusion of an auto-installer converter/importer, that allows the administrator to automatically import installs created by auto-installers like Fantastico and Application Vault, plus beta support for Plesk Windows. We have also switched from the old "3 day demonstration license" to a new "free single-domain edition" that allows anyone to test it for as long as they like. The website also underwent another upgrade.

Upgrade details are here:

Our focus now is on improving the installer system.

Regarding Magento; please note that Magento requires the PHP PDO_MYSQL option, which is not a standard component of all control panel setups. So you might find Magento automatically "filtered" (disabled).

If you install PDO_MYSQL at some point, check the PDO_MYSQL settings in Administration >> Settings >> Requirements.

Wow!!! Magento has been added to installatron. Now you can get the functionality of two ecommerce platforms to build your ecommerce website. It's such a good news for ecommerce developers.
