Don't assume SSL websites are in private_html

Post by interfaSys » Wed Jan 29, 2014 10:13 am

I've just tried to install an app in Directadmin, at an SSL URL and the install failed because Installatron assumed that the www folder for that domain was private_html.

Using private_html is a dated concept (or fulfills a very specific need) and our templates all use public_html and we never create symlinks.

Installatron could get the real DocumentRoot from httpd.conf.
Too much of a corner case?

My worries now is that if I create the symlink, then I'm stuck with it for Installatron to work and if I install the app on the non-SSL URL, then some confidential information may be sent in the clear.

I agree Installatron can handle this more intelligently. We'll get a fix for this added to the Edge release channel within a couple business days. I'll update this thread once that's live.

Thank you,
